Dinky Vintage

I have recently found out about a specialist Children's Vintage clothing shop in Brighton, called Dinky Vintage. They stock a range of vintage products, from victorian christening gowns to 70s Dungarees and a range of traditional toys. I hope to write a feature about this wonderful shop for the magazine, and shall be visiting Brighton this coming week. Located at 39b Sydney Street, it is definitely worth a visit.

David Handley Photography

David Handley is the multi award winning Childrens photographer, who has worked for commercial editorial clients such as Junior Magazine, Ralph Lauren, Boden, M&S and Next. In 2010 he won the 'Sony World Fashion Photographer' award. These photos depict a childrens camping trip, and are highly inspirational to myself as the creative director for Rock Paper Scissors Magazine's upcoming 'Pyjama Party' photo shoot.

Caramel Spring/Summer '11 Collection

Caramel Baby & Child have just released their Spring/Summer '11 collection, which is a very tasteful array of Liberty prints, ginghams and stripes, creating some lovely playful silhouettes. As always, Caramel stay true to their vintage roots, involving design elements such as peter pan collars, box pleats, and nehru collars. Caramel is, as ever a firm favourite with us at Rock Paper Scissors, and we look forward to using items from this collection for our upcoming photo shoot.

Pyjama Party Location

I have found the perfect location for our Pyjama Party photo shoot.
Longthorns Farm is a small working farm, nestled next to Monkey World in Wareham, Dorset. The campsite has a number of Tipis and Shepherds Huts, there is also a woodland walk, and numerous touches such as firepits and hammocks. The farm animals that live on site include shetland sheep, alpaca's, horses, dogs and chickens - this is the perfect place for children to have fun, and hopefully this will reflect in the photo shoot. notonthehighstreet.com have been kind enough as to send us hammocks, cushions and bunting for the photo shoot, so it should look like a colourful feast of fun! Here are some images of this lovely location:
